My name’s Allen. I’m a writer, editor, and former journalist based in Pittsburgh, PA.

After two years in a local TV newsroom, I started my M.A. in Carnegie Mellon University’s professional writing program in fall 2025. I am excited by opportunities in technical writing and scientific communication.
